His poetry collections include <em>A Fortune for Your Disaster<\/em> (Tin House, 2019), winner of the 2020 Lenore Marshall Prize, and <em>The Crown Ain&#8217;t Worth Much<\/em> (Button, 2016). His essay collection, <em>They Can&#8217;t Kill Us Until They Kill Us<\/em> (Two Dollar Radio, 2107) was named a book of the year by Buzzfeed, <em>Esquire<\/em>, NPR, <em>Oprah Magazine<\/em>, <em>Pitchfork<\/em>, and other publications. His<em> Go Ahead in the Rain: Notes to A Tribe Called Quest<\/em> (U of Texas 2019) was a <em>New York Time<\/em>s Bestseller and on the longlist for the National Book Award.
