She holds a BA in Creative Writing and a BA in Literature from Missouri State University and received her MFA in fiction from Bowling Green State University in 2015. While at BGSU, she served as a staff editor for the <em>Mid-American Review <\/em>and taught creative writing and composition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Liz is the recipient of the 2018 <em>Prairie Schooner<\/em> Book Prize for Fiction for her first short story collection, <em>Extinction Events, <\/em>which will be published by University of Nebraska Press in 2019. Her fiction been featured in the <em>Best of the Net<\/em> anthology, nominated for Pushcart Prizes, and selected as runner-up for the Wabash Prize. Her work is forthcoming or has appeared in <em>Hayden\u2019s Ferry Review, The Collagist, Fugue, Pleiades, Salt Hill, Fence, The Sycamore Review, Passages North, Booth, Territory, <\/em>and others.     <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Liz works as a technical editor for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado, and teaches at Lighthouse Writers Workshop.
