Her novel, <em>Invisible Beasts<\/em> (Bellevue Literary Press) was praised in <em>O, the Oprah Magazine<\/em>, as a &#8220;Title to Pick Up Now,&#8221; and was a finalist for the Orion Prize.\u00a0 <em>Publishers Weekly <\/em>chose it as a \u201cFirst Fiction\u201d and \u201cBook of the Week\u201d (starred review), <em>BuzzFeed <\/em>as a \u201cBook To Dive Into,\u201d and <em>Library Journal<\/em> for \u201cTop Indie Fiction.\u201d\u00a0 Other writing has appeared in <em>The New York Times, Granta, The Paris Review, Orion, Kenyon Review, The Yale Review, Agni, Nautilus, Stand, Ploughshares <\/em>and numerous periodicals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She is a recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts\nfellowship in poetry; the Alfred Hodder fellowship from Princeton University in\nnonfiction; three Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence fellowships in\nfiction, nonfiction and poetry; the Bernard F.
