We do not accept submissions via email, only through our manager.<\/p>\n<p><i>Mid-American Review<\/i>\u00a0is an international literary journal dedicated to our\u00a0<a title=\"Mission\" href=\"https:\/\/casit.bgsu.edu\/midamericanreview\/?page_id=610\">mission<\/a>\u00a0of publishing the best contemporary fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and translations.<\/p>\n<p><em>MAR<\/em> is proud of its tradition of featuring the work of both new and established artists. Writers such as Aimee Nezhukumatathil, Rita Dove, Maggie Smith, Carl Dennis, Yusuf Komunyakaa, Stephen Dunn, Cate Marvin, Michael Martone, David Kirby, and Camille Dungy have appeared in MAR. But <em>MAR\u00a0<\/em>is also dedicated to introducing non-English speaking voices to our audience through our translation chapbook series, featuring writers such as Salgado Maranh\u00e3o, Wis\u0142awa Szymborska, and Circe Maia, and translators such as Jesse Lee Kercheval and Alexis Levitin.<\/p>\n<p>Works that first appeared in\u00a0<i>MAR<\/i>\u00a0have been reprinted in\u00a0<em>The Best American Poetry<\/em>,\u00a0<em>The Best American Short Stories<\/em>,\u00a0<em>The Best American Nonrequired Reading<\/em>,\u00a0<em>The Best American Essays<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Pushcart: Best of the Small Presses<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Prize Stories: The O.
