It’s time, friends. When lines line “shimmering rainbow mane” and “shining technicolor pony” appear on the blog, you know what’s coming. Pure magic. Today, we post our final winning entry in the My Little Pony Writing Contest:”Unicorn Hunters” by Kara Krewer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Unicorn Hunters<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

More messages this morning:<\/p>\n

We are looking for a third
\nwe are looking to complete our
\nmystical unicorn triad\u2026
\n<\/em>
\nBut I have no horn,<\/p>\n

no spiral, wound-healing magic.<\/p>\n

But you are a pretty little filly
\nwe like your shimmering rainbow mane
\nhow the twilight sparkles in your horsefeathers<\/em><\/p>\n

But I do not pony up
\nI do not canter<\/p>\n

for all the boys and girls.
\nYes, I like oats and sugar cubes both,
\nbut I am ambivalent about virgins.<\/p>\n

We would let you run along the beach
\nat sunset and we could sell your pictures
\nto those companies that make folders<\/em><\/p>\n

But I swear I do not see it\u2014
\nI look in the mirror and see no magic,
\nonly the earthbound.<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s our dream to share our love
\nwith another woman<\/em><\/p>\n

Listen: no part of me flutters
\nfor you and I\u2019ve got no saddle, no room for a rider.
\nI am a singular short beast,<\/p>\n

one shining technicolor pony
\nhiking the crystal path,<\/p>\n

and even if I had some harmony to bring
\nit would not be for you.<\/p>\n
